National Blood Service commiserates with Melcom Group of Companies on the passing of Mr. Godwin Avenorgbor

A delegation led by Dr Shirley Owusu-Ofori, Chief Executive Officer of the National Blood Service, paid a courtesy call on Melcom Group of Companies on Friday October 25, 2024.
In Attendance were Mr. David Dodzi Ahiadzro – Head Blood Donor Recruitment and Mrs Sophia Blankson – Deputy Chief Blood Donor Recruitment all of the National Blood Service.
The delegation was received by the Executive Director, Mrs Sonya Sadhwani and Mr. Sebastian Korle-Haward, Brand and Communications.

The meeting was necessitated by the untimely passing of the groups’ Director of Communications Mr Godwin Avenorgbor in August this year.
Dr. Shirley Owusu Ofori, CEO of the NBS offered her heartfelt condolences to Melcom and reminisced about how Mr. Avenorgbor had facilitated the great partnership and cordial working relationship that existed between the two organizations.
She also praised Melcom Group for being one of the few corporate stalwarts in donating blood voluntarily. She applauded their efforts and immense support in this regard and encouraged team Melcom to further strengthen the existing partnership.
Mrs Sadhwani emphasized Melcom’s unwavering commitment to the cause of voluntary blood donation and to the collaboration between the two organisations.
