We operate as an agency of the Ministry of Health comprising our Headquarters and three (3) Blood Centres in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale.
Our Headquarters is located off the Guggisberg Avenue, near the Indafa Park. Our office building is adjacent the Korle Bu branch of the GCB Bank, behind the Korle Bu Fire Service Station and the ECG, Korle Bu office.

Southern Zonal Blood Center
Our Southern Zonal Blood Centre (SZBC) is located within the same building (1st Floor) as our Headquarters. The SZBC is in charge of our operations and the services we offer in the southern part of the country.
You can pay them a visit in their ultra-modern Blood Centre to give blood at any time during the week and on some weekends.
The Centre is currently headed by Dr. Dilys John-Tei, a Consultant Haematologist.

Central Zonal Blood Centre
The Central Zonal Blood Centre (CZBC) currently operates from the Transfusion Medicine Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The CZBC provides blood transfusion support to health care facilities in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
Under administrative arrangements, the CZBC oversees our operations and blood services in the central part of the country.
The head of the Centre is Dr Shirley Phyllis Owusu- Ofori (nee Opoku), a Transfusion Medicine Consultant.

Northern Zonal Blood Centre
The Northern Area Blood Centre (NZBC) assists us with our operations in the northern part of Ghana. The NZBC executes its blood service operations through the Tamale Teaching Hospital blood bank.
