Mr. Isaac Teye Odonko wins National Best Blood Donor 2022

Mr. Isaac Teye Odonko from the Eastern Region of Ghana on Monday November 28, 2022, walked away with a double-decker refrigerator and a citation for emerging the National Best winner during the 2022 National Blood Donor Day. He won with 62 donations, followed by Mr. Seth Nyako from the Greater Accra Region, who came second with 56 donations. The third position went to Mr. Solomon Bawa, with 55 donations. Mr. Seth Nyarko and Solomon Bawa received refrigerators and citations respectively.

Other categories of awards include The National Best Youth Donor and National Best Female Donor. The rest are National Best blood donating school, second cycle category, second best National blood donating school and third Best National blood donating school. Manya Krobo SHS, topped the list with 570 donations, Islamic Senior High School, Tamale followed with 426 donations, followed by GHANATA Senior High Schol with 363 donations while at the tertiary level, the University of Cape Coast in the Central Region, emerged winners with 236 donations, followed by ADA Collages of Education. With 157 donations.

At the regional category, reverend Bismark Laryea came first with 46 donations from the Greater Accra Region, followed by Ms. Neoline Tsifokpor Kumor with  also from Accra, followed by Dr. Robert Kumordzi as the third regional best also from the Grate Accra Region. The special award category went to Mr. Henry Abossey Thompson who was given a special milestone recognition for donating a 100th blood donation on Monday  Novembe 28, 2022, National Blood DONOR Day.
